I was charged $59.99 for the RealtyTrac coaching network and I never enrolled in it. I canceled my Realty Trac 2-6-10 before the end of the 7 day trial period and received a cancellation confirmation #. The coaching network charge appeared on my charge card 15 days after I canceled the trial for RealtyTrac.
When I spoke to RealtyTrac they confirmed my cancellation but acted puzzled by the new charge. They said usually the coach network shows up on a charge card as PEI coach network and mine shows up at "LL * RealtyTrac Coach". To make matters worse, the name, city, and state associated with my charge card #in their database is not my name, city, or state. They said they put through a void on the charge.
Called my bank immediately and they show phone number associated with the charge is 800.333.2945 and when I called the # it is "RealtyTrac Coaching Network".
The bank said that since I gave my ccard # to RealtyTrac it cannot be processed as fraud but rather as a dispute. I told the bank I did not enroll in the coaching network but that did not seem to matter.
I will watch to see if the void goes through and then cancel the card and get it reissued in case number was used fraudulently. I will also call state atty general's office.
