Employee communicating threat via phone, quoted one price charged another, damaged vehicle

Ispoke with Chuck the Store Manager at the local Leonard's here in Greenvillelast week about getting my trailer rewired with lights that I would provide tohim. Chuck said it would not be aproblem and that was something they could do for around $60, probably cheaper, but wanted to quote me $60 to be on the safe side. I explained to him that I would provide the lights, whichcame with wire, and that I wanted to have him put 4 new tires on as well. Chuck said that it would be no problemand that if it would go over $60 he would contact me for approval to moveforward.

I'mthinking, what a great deal, this is a great price with great customer serviceand a can do attitude. Boy, was Iwrong... I dropped the trailer off on Monday of this week along with the 4 newtires, lights and wire. I spokewith Donnie at that time and he said it would not be a problem, although he didindicate that he didn't know much about the trailer brakes, but it was wire soit shouldn't be a major problem. Donnie said he would probably have the trailer ready the next day or soand they would contact me then or prior to then if there were any issues. I left the store thinking my trailer wasin good hands. Icontacted the store on Tuesday afternoon around lunch time since I had notheard from them to check on things. I spoke with Donnie at that time and he said things were going well, butstill wasn't sure about the trailer brakes, but that he was still looking atit. Donnie had every opportunityat that time to alert me of pricing issues to include labor cost so I couldmake some decisions as a consumer and he chose not to do so. Ithen heard from Chuck about 2 hours later via voicemail that my trailer wasready to be picked up and to call him. I contacted Chuck back within the hour to find out at that time that mycost had gone from $60 to $200 and that I was being cut a deal. What kind of deal is that when I wasnot notified of such an increase in expected payment. I would definitely say this is a deal for the store and notfor me. I was also notified atthat time that they had broken 2 studs off on one of my trailer tires and thatI had to take it to another shop to get it replaced and or fixed. I was also notified at that time thatthey were unable to figure out the 7 pin wiring on the plug so they installed a4 pin wiring plug. Ileft work within the hour to immediately pick up my trailer and get it out ofthe hands of individuals that were not competent enough to handle somethingthey so surely guaranteed they could and deliver it to another shop so thestuds can be replaced and or fixed from what they had screwed up. I paid the $200 to get my trailer offof their lot and delivered it to Colony Tire for them to immediately begin therepair work. Iwas able to pick my trailer back up from Colony Tire on Wednesday afternoon andupon doing so noticed the wiring under the trailer was handled extremelyunprofessionally as it has been taped with double back tape to the underside ofthe trailer. Wires are hangingdown all under the trailer, wires are bunched up and wound around the tongue ofthe trailer and some of the lights were installed on the fender of the trailernear a step that can now no longer be used because of the location with thewires wound around the fender and not taken through the metal as they shouldhave been. My bill from ColonyTire was $128.32, so now I have $328.32 in something that is not an acceptableproduct. Ihave now taken the trailer to Eastwood Trailers in Greenville, where they willbe stripping down the trailer of the crap that has been done and rewiring thetrailer like it should be. Here Iwill be paying somewhere around $275 - $325 for work they will be doing toright what has been wronged. Theywill be providing me pictures of before and after so we can see what aprofessional job should look like and so that I have proof of the type of servicethat I have received. Thereforenow I will have almost $650 - $700 including my cost for the lights and wire ina job that I was originally told would be $60. I was finally contacted by the District Manager of the this local establishment and was told basically I was out of luck. I asked to speak to his manager and was told at that time he reported to no one. He then began to yell and communicate the threat of wanting to come to Greenville and rip my head off because he was up most of the night with his child at Wake Med. I'm sorry for any medical treatment an innocent child must endure, but this type of excuse should not be used as a crutch to threaten bodily harm on a consumer that has vaild concerns. After further investigation, I found the District Manager does have someone to report to, which is the president of the company. I have contacted this individual and he has failed to return my call.
