"warning! This company is a scam! Please do yourself a favor and DO not even consider going to their website. They will hold your items for ransom and then demolish every single one of them before they deliver them to you in shambles. Our delivery date has been delayed 8... Yes EIGHT times now. And because of this, we have been virtually homeless for 2 weeks. Not only did our 'Moving Consultant' Donna Fraire express to me that our belongings would arrive on time and be taken care of, she also GUARANTEED that their company was THE company to handle our move most efficiently. Quite the saleswoman I guess. However, as soon as our things were picked up (late and very half-hazardly I might add), she never once returned any of my calls. She wouldn't answer questions, wouldn't discuss why our things were late, and couldn't be bothered to assure us of anything. At one point, I literally sent her an email asking if they EVER intended to deliver our belongings or if this was some kind of scam you see on 20/20... No response. We haven't even gotten to price yet! Wow! Our moving costs more than doubled! Donna intentionally gave me a low initial estimate I guess to seal the deal... But once the movers came they started charging us for things like tape and flights of stairs (when I'd already TOLD her how many stairs were involved), and other inexplicable fees. Also, on the day before our scheduled pick up, their secretary called to confirm that we were were on for the next day @ 9am (what we had specifically agreed upon). She then called back 2 hours later telling us that they had switched pickup time to 6pm... Oh, and that we'd have to pay $300 to switch it BACK to the original morning time. Why? Oh who knows! They couldn't ever really explain this to us. It's a scam people.
This company is the next company to be investigated by Dateline NBC, and what they would find is NOT going to be pretty.in conclusion, I would like to emphasize that we STILL do not have our belongings in our new city. I STILL cannot get a hold of anyone there. And I feel it is my duty to openly express how this company operates. Do not let this happen to you. Moving is stressful enough as it is, do NOT add to it by hiring a company that will hold your possessions ransom, throw them around destructively, charge you double what they promised, and never call you back to let you know that you are in fact getting screwed.
*UPDATE: we JUST received our possessions this afternoon after I posted this and our belongings are completely DEMOLISHED. Ive counted 24 glasses cracked, 2 lamps shattered into pieces, a mattress and sofa ripped, and 3 vases broken. I literally saw our mover throw a box marked FRAGILE on the floor right in front of my face."
