Received a traffic ticket outside of the DFW area and tookit to the office in Arlington, Tx. Assistant assured they take care of ticketsanywhere by mail and requested CASH for payment. Charged more than 500% thefee saying that was because the ticket was received outside the DFW. I did nothear anything about that ticket for almost a year. Called office in Ft. Worth;they said my ticket was not in the system. Then, I called the court to find outthat the attorney assistant in Arlington had sent them a request for deferredadjudication that was rejected. The court advised me that the ticket was incollection and about to turn into a WARRANT!!! I have no problem with the courtdecision, what is frustrating is that neither the attorney nor his assistantdid INFORM me about the court decision BY ANY MEANS. Furthermore, when I spokewith the attorney, he informed me that he knew NOTHING about my ticket and thathis assistant did not deliver the payment! He also told me that his assistantaccused me of moving overseas without changing mycontact information despite the fact that I NEVER left the county! I also am surprisedby that claim because I neither left my residence nor changed my contactinformation including my cell phone # and email address they had in file! So, they had my MOST up-to-date contact information!
Furthermore, around the time the ABANDONED response from court in regards to myticket was received in their office, the attorney assistant was sending meemails about all kinds of community activities in Arlington, Tx (open houses, dinners, meetings, and so) emails about EVERYTHINGBUT MY TICKET! This is solid proof they had my email address (and wereemailing me around that time) in addition to having my most up-to-date mailingaddress and CELL phone number! Update: In an email, they promised to refund the money Ipaid but they never did. I gave it some time then I got back with them asking to be compensated for fees and damages, guess what? THEY THREATENED TO SUE ME!!! Watch out! If you hire this attorney, he might threaten tosue you one day if you ask him to do his job right!!
