I also fell for the survey offer of a 'Bianchi' men's watch. The stem of the watch fell out when I tried to change the time, but finally engaged and the watch now apparently works. HOWEVER, if I had known that a charge of $88.98 would be charged against my bank card I would have made an effort to return it. As it was, it didn't seem worth the postage to send it back... It could be worth $5.99! Tomorrow I'll go to my bank and file a Federal Regulation E fraudulent activity form and cancel my debit card to avoid further charges. And then I'll just hope for the best at this point.
But...
Anyone who 'bought' the watch and didn't return it, and was subsequently charged the $88.98, NEEDS TO BE AWARE of this excerpt from their 'Terms & Conditions' page as shown on their website, www.mygenevawatch.com.
IT READS AS FOLLOWS:
"If you are satisfied with Geneva Watch and wish to continue to receive a new watch from our collection on a monthly basis, you need do nothing else. Upon the expiration of the trial period, your credit card will be billed the members only price of $88.99 for the full cost of the watch that you ordered. On approximately the forty-fifth day following the date you first ordered Geneva Watch and every thirty days thereafter, we will send you another watch from our collection, and the credit card you provided to us will be automatically billed $88.99 for this new product."
So, unless you manage to cancel your order, or head it off at the bank by changing your debit card number, you will receive another watch and be bill again, and this will go on month after month!
