Well today my wife received a letter and check in the mail from the National Lotto Co-Operation Sweepstakes Lottery. The letter claimed to be from the Gilead Security Inc.in Foster City Ca. We their story claims that she won $150,000.00 as a Shopping Award in conjunction with the Samsung promotions held on Jan. 16 in the 2nde category. Winners were based on their shopping at Wal-mart, Cosco, Sam's Club or Kmart. Her lucky numbers were 11,13, 26,34, 44,48 and a bonus number 2.
Now these idiots sent a check that looks very real and make against a Wells Fargo Bank. Routing 04120382 and account # 9600093808 for the amount of $4,585.96. I must say the check looks real with watermarks and all. Well then they have requested that we send a payment for "taxes" in the amount of $2,998.00, via Western Union to the assigned "Tax Agent" James Campbell. If I want to expedite the process I should call James Campbell at 780-604-6101.
Now this was a nice try... I plan on calling Mr. Campbell in the very near future. However, I want to turn the tables on him... Can't say how, but it will be fun...
So to every one Be Careful and remember if it's too good to be true, it usually is a scam...
Oh, did I mention that I investigated white collar crimes?
