Lousy service, support just get down the road and let someone else solve the problems

I purchased a new never titled 2010 Coachmen Pathfinder and flew to Texas to pick it up. The salesman "Cowboy" told us the coach would be inspected twice and they had almost a three week lead to do so. We were a cash customer. Got there and they were fixing the rear TV. Then the coach would not start. They said they would change the batteries because they didn't want us to have a problem driving back to Florida. We found out later they never changed the batteries. It became obvious they had never gone through the coach. Foolishly we left the dealership and started our trek to Florida. Had numerous problems - to many to list here. Called the dealership when we lost interior lights and no heat and virtually no support. Finally made it to Florida. Wrote a letter to the Coachmen President listing the 41 issues wrong with a brand new coach. The Coachmen president called me personally and I was assured the coach would be fixed and I am confident that they and the FLORIDA dealership will make it right. However, Motor Home Speciast is another story. The owner, Doug O'Banion who claims he is the # 1 seller of Coachmen products, finally called me (I suspect only after the Coachmen president called him as it appears my letter to him was ignored) and apologized for the poor inspection and pre-delivery prep his people did and told me to call his service writer "Mitch" on some pending issues that were identified before I left their dealership and they promised me they would take care of. I spoke with Mitch and he said he would check on the replacement table top and call me right back. That was over a week ago and now my calls go to voice mail with no return call. Appears to me that Motor Home Specialists is all talk but don't expect any support or service from them. They have a good price if you are willing to put up with no support or not delivering on their promises. I think their philosophy is "push you out the door and let someone else solve the problems." I'd rather pay more and get support and service but there were no local 2010's available so I ended up with MHS. My coach is now at a legitimate dealer in Florida and with Coachmen's presidential support I have no doubt that my coach will be 100% fixed althought I have not had the use of a brand new coach for one month now. My advice stay away from MHS and if they are really # 1 in sales they won't be for long with such poor customer support. I could go on and on but I think you get the drift.
