EWI - Conrad Acceptance Corp. Scammed me on my Credit Card and tried to destroy my Credit Provo, Utah, Escondido, CA

On 27 March I attended a FREE 3-day Seminar in Real Estate Foreclosures given by the Robert G Allens Institute called EWI (Enlightened Wealth Institute) in New York City. On the 3rd day (29 March), they selected certain individuals, I was one of them, and pressured me to subscribe to additional two 3-day RE Bootcamps at a cost of $15,999, promising "great wealth". They charged the first installment of $5330 on two of my credit cards, namely Discover ($2500) and Visa ($2830). The New York State gives only a 3-day period to cancel. However, it takes more than a week to return to normal and realizing the scam after been subjected to such high pressure tactics. Within that week, I called up the two banks on the two credit cards and informed them of the scam, as there were 2 more installments of $5330 yet to be charged, on 1st May and 1st June respectively. They promptly cancelled both the credit cards and issued me new ones. I had also telephoned EWI/Conrad Acceptance Corp (the Financial arm of the Robert Allenss Scam) withdrawing from the Training and to cancel me out. They informed me they dont cancel.

On 15 April I had a telephone "Webinar" with the Author himself, Robert G. Allen. For the entire 45 minutes, he indicated that getting rich in Real Estate is not that easy, and that if it were, every man down the street would be doing it. He further stated that he was looking for some special people "to take under his wings" in Real Estate but that it is NOT free, and would cost additional tuition. (To confirm this, I have recently received an e-mail yesterday, 29 July from Robert Allen himself, still looking for students, "to take under his wings" claiming that "it is part of his DNA to educate them personally so that they can achieve massive success") (emphasis added). Huh! What a cheat!

The entire 45 minutes class contained NO information on Real Estate or how and where to find undervalued properties or how to create your so-called Wealth Mountains. He went on and on using psychology on our minds, for the entire 45 minutes, to subscribe more money to him. This is how these thugs become Millionaires at the expense of hard-working honest Americans like myself. Just like the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme that promised high Returns to people while they lived luxuriously on the high end at the expense of the hard-working little guy. This is when I realized I was cheated in a SCAM. They had just scammed me two weeks earlier on paper for $15,999 in 3 installments, of which $5330 was taken from 2 credit cards. I had not yet gone to any of the Two Training Bootcamps as yet, (as one was scheduled for end of May and the other at the end of June) and they were already looking to scam for more money. I also came across a lot of students who said they were scammed more than $40,000 to $60,000 to take his additional Courses, and it is more than a year and they have NOT made a single sale or penny. They said they are so heavily in debt, and they cant save any of their hard-earned money for retirement. That they had to claim bankruptcy. Such are he "Unscrupulous thugs" like Robert G. Allen.

While I promptly wrote to the Bank on both the credit cards, disputing this scam, to preserve my rights, and attaching a copy of the Discover Bill of Rights, in particular, page 17: "3. Special Rule for Credit Card Purchases" which, inter alia, states, " if you have a problem with the quality of goods or services that you purchased with a credit card and you tried in good faith to correct the problem with the Merchant, you may have the right not to pay the remaining amount due on the goods or services. And the purchase price must have been more than $50." The amount involved here was not just $50 but they were seeking to scam me for almost $16,000!!! The "quality of goods and Services" in this case a "SCAM"! In these hard economic times, I realize there seems to be a lot of scam artists preying on the unsuspecting. However, I have decided to be extremely cautious from now on with my Credit Cards.

While the investigation continued, I had received a Box of Books, CDs, DVDs from EWI, from their Office in Salt Lake City, Utah, where coincidentally the Discover Bank Credit Card Office also happened to be located. I promptly returned the entire box of junk as I received it to their Utah address. The Scammer Robert G. Allen having an Office in Utah, seemed to have influenced the Discover Bank not to exonerate me.

To add insult to injury, they sent me a letter informing me that they have decided to inform all the 4 Credit Card Bureaus (listing their names and addresses) of my Default so as to destroy my excellent credit rating.

It is my intention to write to all the 4 Credit Card Bureaus informing them of this scam, that I got nothing for this amount of $13,583.48 and that while the Chase Bank exonerated me under the Fair Credit Card Bill of Rights, for the $2830, Discover refuses to respect the Rules under the Fair Credit Card Bill of Rights and is intimidating me that I am liable for the amount and adding an Interest Charge of $18.48 to total $13,583.48; and to make my letter be read in conjunction with their letter for all who see my Credit Report.

In the meantime, I have filed a Complaint yesterday with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), the regulatory agency for all Credit Cards, who works for the Consumers to prevent fraud and deception.

I am not finished yet with this Scammer EWI/Conrad Acceptance/Robert Allen, whatever business names he goes by, as it is my intention to also expose his Scam to the Attorney General of New York, Mr. Andrew Cuomo and also the NY State Senator, Charles Schumer. This is a very serious matter, and should be discussed in Congress. Someone has to put these scammers out of business.

This Scammer, Robert Allen, a Canadian who has been living in the US scamming hard-working Americans is, "a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money." Selling RE investments they know are crap; full of hype, trying to sell pie-in-the sky dreams and not be able to deliver. They are full of beans. Most of the time, its all unadulterated horse manure!
