I received in the mail a plain white envelope containing a DVD called Blunt The Fourth Man. It is a 1985 TV movie staring Anthony Hopkins. The return address is Comm-Services T 3500 Sunset Ave. Ocean NJ 07712 and it was mailed first class using a US Postage Paid Permit #3 New Brunswick NJ. I do not purchase DVDs. So I "Goggled" Comm-Services LLC and found http://usacomplaints.com which has recent reports similar to what I am writing about. I looked at my credit card statement online and found a charge for $9.95 on 1/8. I found the website http://www.comm-services.com and it offers movies for "free" one just has to call, fax or mail the order and pay $9.95 for shipping. It is not a secure site and one cannot order online. I can just imagine how many other people, got the DVD, thought it was junk, threw it out and never noticed the $9.95 among the 20 other charges on their monthly credit card invoice? My guess is Comm-Services is getting tired carrying all the money to the bank. Please excuse the editorial; I am not pleased at the moment. I called the fraud unit of my credit card company, Chase, they were very good. The charge is off my card, my card is canceled and a new card with a new number is on the way. I regret that to drive from my home to Ocean NJ is 6 hours or I would be pleased to knock on their door accompanied by my attorney and with luck a representative of the NJ Attorney General's office.By the way Comm-Services LLC says on the website they have a 100% guarantee, if you do not like the movie mail it back for a full refund. Want to bet it would never arrive?
