Heather Gibbs and her sister Hollie have been breeding silver labs since 2005 selling as warranted for 2-3 years (has recently went up!) If you try to call either you will get an answering service at which time yo will be told they will return your call and if you leave any message other than you are interested in purchasing a pup you will NOT be called back! If you lie as they do and say you are interested in a dog then they WILL answer your call but then when you admit to the real reason you are calling such as YOUR WARRANTY then they will hang up and you will never hear from them again. No matter how many emails and phone calls you make they will not honor your warranty. Buyers Beware as these breeders are in a network selling each others puppies and ANY puppies they can buy for cheap. This is why their websites are very good and have been around for a long time. It is time to expose them for what they are which is puppy brokers who are making money off silver labs with no regards to what they are doing to the breed. Silver Labradors are supposed to look like real labs and should be bred not to silver or charcoal labs but to silver factored chocolate or black labs. Beware of any silvers from an all silver and charcoal litter! Make sure that the parents are on site and that there are chocolate or black bred to a silver or charcoal or better yet come from 2 silver-factored parents which mean that neither parent appears silver or charcoal in color. Breeding 2 dilute colors is not a good choice and willl NEVER be done by a reputable breeder!!! This only magnifies the negative genes which can and will produce silver labs with problems. Buy ONLY a silver or charcoal from breeders who are doing this and they will most certainly will only sell to the pet owner with breeding restrictions! This is why breeders like Heather Gibbs in Arkansas, Kellyn from Silver Star Kennels in Texas and Lori Osborn from Silver Moon Kennels in Sparta NC are making money. They breed SILVER to SILVER or CHARCOAL to SILVER to get litters of 7-12 dillute colors which they sell to the pet consumers for outragoeus prices which is why they offer such ridiculous warranties. Breeding Silvers is a job that should never be done by someone without years of expertise in the field. If you are looking to breed Silvers then even more reason to NOT BUY FROM THESE BREEDERS! They are making a fortune off of the unsuspecting pet buyers out there. Do your homework before you buy. You want be disappointed if you find a reputable breeder and let me say from experience there are very few!
