I moved from my small town to take a job at this company. When i first started, i loved the people who worked there. They were all young, and my age so immediately i felt comfortable in the new city i was living in and felt like i had alot of friends.
I met my quota of sales and was coninuously one of the top sales people in the company every week but i kept noticing that i wasnt getting paid for everything i was selling. I started to talk to some other people who started working for the company after me and i noticed that the same was happening to them. I tried to confront my manager but he just ignored the matter and said he would get to it later. Then i started noticing that some of the other people who weren't doing as well, or who had come in after me were getting promoted to floor manager and other positions even though i had maintened a better sales profile and worked more hours than everyone.
They took advantage of the fact that i was new in town and didnt know many people. They knew i wasn't going to leave the job since i really had no where to go. I then realized the people who i thought were my friends were actually the ones deceiving me.
They scammed me and took my money. I recently moved back home. I hope i never have to go through that again and now i know to investigate further before i make such a commitment to something.
