This company is saying i owe $2785.00 to them and it is ruining my credit

I have recently checked my credit online and saw that i have negative factors. I really don't know why it has his on my credit report. I have looked up the company and it seems as tho the company does not exist. And it seems that other people have been getting the same reports on their reports too. I just want this off of my credit report since it is hurting my credit score rather badly.
