WOW Mortgage Relief aka Discount Mortgage Relief aka Mortgage Relief isa company full of liars! We are on the verge of losing ourhome because of this "company". We saw a commercial on tv for them anddecided to call in because we were tight on money and wanted to get ourmortgage payments reduced. They promised us that they would handleeverything for us and that they had a stellar success rate.
We sent them all of our paperwork and they informed our bank that theywould be representing us. They told us to stop making our payments andnot to have any communication with the mortgage company because itwould hinder the process. I felt like they were really going to helpus. I was so wrong! They repeatedly had random employees call us everycouple of weeks to request the same document that we had sent themnumerous times. Every time, we dropped everything and resubmitted thepaperwork immediately. Every time they confirmed that they received it. (Now I know that this is part of their scam).
We started receiving letters in the mail from our mortgage companysaying that we were in default and that they would be proceeding withforeclosure. We contacted WOW Mortgage Relief in regards to this and they told us toignore these threats and that the bank was just trying to scare usbecause they knew that we were eligible for a modification. I actuallytrusted them! This went on for a couple of months, and we were nolonger hearing from WOW Mortgage Relief. Every time we tried to call for an update, they would transfer us to random departments so that they didn't haveto deal with us. No one could give us answers, except that they were"currently in negotiations with our mortgage company". They could neverprovide proof or tell us who they spoke with.
We were finally served with foreclosure papers and decided that therewas a possibility that we were being scammed. After checking theinternet and seeing all of the other stories of home owners that wereripped off, we called our mortgage company to figure out what wasreally going on. They told us that the ONLY contact they EVER had with WOW Mortgage Relief was a letter stating that they would be representing us. They neverheard from them again. (Our mortgage company is required to documentall communication that takes place for each account.) We immediatelycalled WOW Mortgage Relief, who told us our bank was lying! We told them that we were done with them. We spoke with ourbank ourselves and are in the process of resolving this mess. Byfollowing WOW Mortgage Relief's advice, we are very close to losing our home and ourpreviously excellent credit score is ruined!
We then filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General to get ourmoney back. WOW Mortgage Relief's response to the complaint wasthat we were in the wrong because we did not follow their "process". Theyclaimed that we failed to submit the paperwork that they required tofinish the modification and that the only reason the bank was workingwith us now was because of the negotiations that they already had withthem (the ones that never took place!)
They are liars! Please do not do business with this company! They will take your money and cause you to lose your home. Ifthere is anyone out there organizing a class action law suit, pleasecontact me. I would love to testify against WOW Mortgage Relief.
