At the new BLM facility in Silt, CO, our company supplied/installed the network cabling infrastructure (80,000 feet of CAT6) including racks, wall jacks, all terminations etc. We supplied/installed a full security alarm system and currently monitor the fire alarm and the security system.
We are currently owed $28,000.in final payment billed in October. We have not received a dime since.in fact, the only thing we have received is grief and major financial damage as result of being unable to pay our bills related to this project.
Orr's web-published garbage that "... We believe that Integrity, Honesty and Commitment are the foundation to constructing any successful project. It has always been that way and it always will be." is the most inaccurate description of their combined behavior that I can think of. They are dishonest, backstabbing liars and thieves without a shred of "integrity" or "honesty". They are "committed", however. Committed to making a living by defrauding honest, hardworking local sub-contractors and stealing our money. Committed to coming up with the most excuses to not pay their bills and avoiding all forms of communication by having the office staff constantly lie about the whereabouts of their bosses. Committed to not returning calls, e-mails, snail-mail, texts and voice mails. Committed to never answering their cell phones. Committed to lieing their ass off when tricked into answering the phone (remember that Nate?).
In 30 years of business, I have never experienced such a polished and complete lack of professionalism. We have tried every avenue possible to attempt to resolve this with them and have gotten absolutely nowhere. We have finally had enough and from what we found out today, we will have to get in line. Apparently, this behavior is standard procedure from Orr-not just limited to our project (as you can even see here on usacomplaints.com).in the process of having our attorney file a lien today, I asked him to get me a list off any others who have filed. He e-mailed 5 pages of names! We are number 24!! We further found out from the bldg. Owner that Orr was paid in full a couple of months ago! More lies come to the surface like: "we're sure you'll be paid in the next draw..."
These slimeballs have screwed over nearly everyone involved in this project from the people who excavated the site to every sub and supplier that showed up after that.
Remember something Nate & Nick: the bigger they are, the harder they fall. You will not get away with this-the courts and the public will make sure of it. We sub-contractors are also planning a little publicity that will make it very difficult for Orr to get future contracts. You have raped companies and individuals at a very, very bad time in our economy. Taking money out of people's wallets is always a very dangerous practice and one that Orr has apparently perfected-or so you seem to think. We will not just sit back and take it because Orr is the "big-time G.C."
We will let everyone know that will listen. Contractor's associations, the Better Business Bureau, the newspapers, your suppliers, architects, and many more. You will pay what you owe. Count on it. We have a mountain of combined documentation to substantiate everything above many times over. No slander or threats necessary or intended-you and your staff have provided plenty of damning evidence. The more people who read and respond to this report will surely add to that. Does "class-action lawsuit" mean anything to you? Do you have any other skillsets to rely on after Orr Construction is crushed out of business for fraud? No company does what yours is doing to those who ultimately do all the work and survives for long.
I highly doubt that Foster started Orr by behaving as pathetically unprofessional and dishonorable as the people running Orr now. It's time to actually read the words on your website. Rewrite them to reflect the truth. What are you afraid of? Going out of business? You should be.
