I posted an ad on Craigslist searching for someone to rent a home with me, when I got this very believable email with a link to countrywide-rentals.com. Even though I'm usually hesitant with emails such as these — it seemed legitimate. Once on the website, I looked for the company name, "Smith-Masterson Property Development & Management, " and thankfully "SCAM" and "RIPOFF" were the first things online to popup.
The scammers are getting BETTER. Be aware! Be vigilant! Do NOT give people your information!
