His name is Dean and he is by far the most shady landlord i've ever dealt with. First off when i was suppose to move in on the first i had no floor anywhere in the apartment and ending up moving in days later. Also he didn't have the apt cleaned he told me he'd pay me to clean my own apartment which I had to hassel him for weeks for payment. He never answers the phone or fixes repairs. He makes up excuses for why something is broken and tried to say it was just me. He had this whole thing where you had to pay rent by going to whatever bank he had and depositing your rent money there and would switch banks and not notify anyone and when i'd go to the bank they'd say his account no longer exists and he's done that a few times. My biggest concern is that he had 21 days to give me back my deposit and hasn't. I have bad credit so I had to pay a higher deposit which over $2000 and He doesn't answer any of my messages or answer the phone period. I know all the tenant/landlord laws pretty well in california. I left that apartment in BETTER condition than when i moved out than what it was when i moved in. He's very shady, horrible lazy, greedy landlord who has many properties so god only knows how many other people he's ripping off. I am going to sue him for my entire deposit and then some in small claims court if nothing is resolved asap.
