I first found of Joe's puppy mill back in April when I was taking my puppy to a training course. There I met the nicest people whom had just purchased their Maltipoo and were extremely happy. I got Joe's number and contacted him about getting a puppy right away. I should have known that his sales tactics were a scam. He told me I should come as soon as possible because the puppies were going fast. That should have been the first red flag but I really wanted a puppy for my mom. It was already about 7:30PM by the time I got down to his house. His house was run down and the puppies were in wired cages, that should have been my second sign. Reputable breeders don't typically have you come over at any hour of the day to buy a puppy lt alone have them in disgusting cages with no food or water. I was a novice at this game so I had no idea what to expect. When I got there, there were plenty of adorable puppies, not just the 3 he had claimed to have on the phone.
