MTF Relocation, Inc
Best Local Relocation Bait and Switch Moving Company - They are Scam Artists!

In October I received a quote via email of $1,050.00 from Best Local Relocation, Inc. To move my household goods from Oakdale, CA to Lawton, OK. I was then contacted by Brian Feldmier of Best Local Relocation to arrange for my move and was specifically told by Brian Feldmier of Best Local Relocation that the quote provided to me encompassed the total price of the move.
On October 9, Best Local Relocation arrived to load my household goods (I recall signing forms on the date of the move which had MTF Relocation, Inc. On the top of the forms). When Best Local arrived to load my household items, they began putting padding on large items and wrapping the in cellophane. I immediately questioned the mover about the wrapping, because I could not afford additional charges. I was told that wrapping was required on interstate moves. Never once did the representative mention that they would add charges for this.
After my items were loaded on the truck, I was then told that it would cost an additional $1,170.66 for packing materials, and $94.50 for fuel surcharge. After inquiring as to the inflated price, I was told to contact Brian at Best Local Relocation, Inc. And that he would take care of it. I then called Brian Feldmier, to which he told me that the price should have been the same as the quote and that he would contact me after speaking to his supervisor, but I never heard back from him.
After repeated unsuccessful attempts to contact Best Local Relocation, Inc., I was finally called by Kamryn Duque, who told me that because of the actual weight of my household items, my total charges were now at $3,518.67. I was also told that they would not leave California to bring me my items in Oklahoma until I wired at least $1,500.00 to them; and, that when they arrive in Oklahoma, they will not release my items to me until I pay an additional $1,126.17.
Never once have they communicated these final charges to me in writing by providing an invoice. Never once have they sent a copy of the weigh master certificate to me showing the final weight. These people promised me up front that the final charges would be $1,050.00; and, once they had all of my possessions, they demanded more than three (3) times that amount. Not only do they have EVERYTHING I own (including items of sentimental value that cannot be replaced), they have received $892.50 (85% of the quoted rate) from me.
I spoke with Kamryn Duque again on Monday, November 18 who told me at that time that I would be receiving an email from The Board; and, that they have agreed to provide me with some additional discounts so that I could attempt to retrieve my items. I never received that email. I did, however, receive an email from another representative named Eric via email ([email protected]) who is now saying that they have an auction coming next month and will have to auction all unpaid storage balances. Even though they have never sent any storage invoices to me prior to this, they are now demanding that I pay $300.96 per month in storage fees.
I am a single mother, and I do not have the means with which to pay their ransom demand. They have everything I own, including irreplaceable sentimental items that belonged to my deceased brother and my deceased grandmother. I do not know where to turn. I know that what they have done has got to be illegal, but I have no way to fight them. Please help me!
