I was call in May by a woman, her name was "Shara". She said that I was preapproved for a $2500 Visa or Mastercard. Said that there is just a one time fee of $296 that would be deducted automatically from my checking account. I was a little skeptical and asked her allot of questions. She proceeded to tell me that this card had no other fees. Just the one time processing fee of $296. No interest, no late fees, over limit fees, no other fees what-so -ever.
What an idiot I was to fall it this was definitely too good to be true. I even kept the woman on hold as I discussed this with my husband. I then proceeded to go through with the transaction, because she assured me that I will be receiving my new card in the mail within 2-4 weeks of our telephone conversation. She took my bank information and gave me a confirmation number and the toll free number to contact them if I had any questions. The fee was to be deducted from my account on June 3rd... And it was.
I tried calling the number she had given and it was changed to a new number. I then called that number. The number was either always busy or would ring several times and I would get disconnected. On July 5th I received a package in the mail and it was from Dynamic Credit Services.
This was a package containing info on how to restore my credit and help me rebuild my credit. They said "thank you for purchasing our package". This is not what I had agreed to. So I proceeded to call the numbers and nothing so then I went to my bank and signed a fraudulent ACH report.
I did get my money back from the bank and hopefully the bank will get there money back. So beware of this scam. Ask for it in writing before committing to anything and don't give your personal information to anyone on the phone.
