I recently used The Dutch Connection for my wedding flowers. I made my bottom line price very clear at the first meeting with Paula—no matter what, I couldn't spend over $700. Imagine my surprise when the final amount charged to my credit card was almost $100 more!
When I asked Paula about it, she said it was "impossible to know" how much the flowers were going to cost beforehand and that "that's how florist work". She refused to refund anything! The invoice she sent me as "proof" of this listed all of the prices we initially discussed as "approximate". Very shady.
I used to think people who wrote negative reviews on sites like this were just negative people—then it happened to me. If you use The Dutch Connection, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FIRST!
