How can companies get away with it

I thought I was looking at a "platinum credit card" I thought it sounded too good to be true so I went online to check it out..
People... Please read the fine print..
I have been ripped off by orchard credit card by them giving me a $300 limit and by the time they instantly took their fees off the top, it left me with only a $150 limit. I lost my job and got behind and now they say I owe them $980... HOW? When MY limit was only $300. THIS FIRST PLUS PLATINUM CREDIT is just like that credit card company. AS soon as you give your credit card number they will run your credit card up with fees and will always be a thone in your side.

I am desperate to buy christmas for my children but not this desperate..
