Shoreline Systems Kirby Distributor
This is a huge scam do not fall for it

I applied for a customer service position with Shoreline Systems. I was told at the end of my interview I probably had a job and they would call me that evening. I received a call saying I had the job and to come to the training the next day. Of course I was thrilled they offered a guarantee of $2280 per month. I was told there would be no cold calling or knocking on doors and that all of our appointmets were set up for us by their call center. That seemed resaonable. I sat through a 3 day training on how to work the Kirby vacuum. Then the truth came out. We were expected to have three demos per day, 15 demos per week or 60 per month in order to get $2280 per month. If we did not do that we would not be paid. We had to go out and knock doors to get referrals so the call center (which did not even exsist) would call these people and set our appointments.
They would load us all up in the van, with no seat belts & more people that seats then taken to neighborhoods from Denver to Colo. Springs 10 hours per day with no lunch or breaks. My first night on the van I was in the van with 5 people that had felonys and my supervisor I found out was on parole. The police were called by neighbors and it was really scarey. The van sped off into the evening to avoid the police. I asked why we were speeding away from the location as we were not doing anything wrong. The people in the van told me felons were not allowed to hang out together and we could all be arrested. These same felons were going into innocent peoples homes.
I decided to give it another shot and told the owner Mike LaCata I would not be in the van with felons again so he put me in another van. We drove for 10 hours not getting into any homes so we could make our 3 dmos per day. I told the owner the next day this was not going to fly with me and he asked for another chance and he was going to take the van out and show us how it is done... Getting into peoples homes. Out went the canvassers and I was knocked into a home. I did my demo and was told by the resident she could not afford this vacuum and I started to pack up the equiptment when Mike LaCata the owner came in. He basically pressured the resident into letting him try to qualify her. She agreed. He called the credit company and lied about her income, lied that she owned her home and behold she was approved.
By this time I was feeling really aweful about the fact that I was deceived into thinking they set these appointments and they were all pre-qualified. I was told there would be no cold calling or door knocking but in reality that is how they got the leads to set us up for our appointments. Needless to say I did not get paid for selling the Kirby to the women who really could not afford the vacuum in the first place. The reson I was refused my pay is because of her bad credit. After this I left the job.
Do not fall for the scam. They say you will not have to cold call or knock on doors but that is exactly what they have you do. They swindle you out of your pay and lie to the credit comapnies so the owner can get paid but the person selling would not be paid.
