I have known this individual for more than 8 years and most of them he spent in jail. At first I cared very much about his well being and trying to help him. He seemed to be just a nice guy who needed a hand up. Boy was I ever wrong. During the years he spent in jail I actually sent him money, wrote him countless letters, visited him often, at my expense since he was transfered to very distant facilitys. I was the only person who gave him hope and a place to stay when he finally got out 4 years later. After finding God in prison and promising to live a clean and sober lifestyle I thought he was ready to make a move forward. It only took 2 months and God no longer was important, he was smoking crack in the bathroom behind my back.
Although I tried the hardest I could to help him he was not ready to stop willingly on his own. He stayed at my home for 3 months before he even found a job and when he did it was not a reputable one but he was making plenty of money. Thats when he decided that he no longer had any use for me, my home, my rules of no drugs, and came in one day and announced he could not get along with me any longer and found a place. That night he was gone back to his old life of drugs, the bars every night, scamming to get money and never returned. This is a 47 year old man who has kids he doesnt even bother to know. Although my life is so much better without his drama or crap he never showed concern for anything at all that happens in my life but calls to harrass and tell me all the fun he is having and the money he has.
This has taught me a sad lesson. Although I did not expect anything grand in return for my being there for him all those years, I never expected a human being to be so-how should I put it— inhuman. He will never amount to anything and i truly believe that he is a pathological liar. Even about the simplest things that are insignificant. He will scam you into believing anything and of course he thinks i am a crazy woman which is amusing to imagine. All I can say is if you meet him then check his credentials before you jump into any serious dealings with him and i mean that with either money, or your sentiments cause he just is out for himself and will burn you eventually. I cant even begin to tell you some of the things he pulled on me and other people who know him. He is not liked after people get to know him, its at first that you get fooled by his con man demeanor. Watch out. He is just plain a no good liar.
