Mos Magazines sent me numerous emails about filling out surveys to get free products. I filled out a survey, assuming that I would get a free cheap watch or something. Weeks later they started calling my house.
They called my house something like ten times in the span of a few days. When I finally answered my phone they told me that I had signed up on the internet to receive these "free" magazine subscriptions, which I would be "able to cancel" and that I was also supposed to receive some free merchandise, which I (of course) never received.
I was told I'd have two small payments to make, and I would get these magazines for a year, and after doing the math, it seemed economical. So I agreed to make the two payments, after which I was told that I would be mailed a package with the information on cancelling my subscriptions, along with (of course) some cheap merchandise.
I never received any merchandise, and I've made SEVERAL months of payments, each about $40 a month.
I DID get the packet with the information about cancelling, but that was almost two months later - the cancellation period? Ten days. It wasn't even POSTMARKED on time.
So now I'm very angry, because I am unable contact them, they keep deducting money from my bank account, and I have no idea if I can block their payments, or what.
I'm very angry that they deliberately lied to me, and that nothing is being done. I hope someone goes into their bank accounts and steals almost a quarter of THEIR paychecks.
