This was at the very least intentionally very misleading.
They very cleverly lead me to believe that all I had to do to get a sample was pay for shipping. Their receipt even showed the price for the product to be "$0.00, " and a "GRAND TOTAL" which reflected only the cost of the shipping. Then, I checked them out online and doscovered that it was a scam. I immediately called to cancel my order, and was told that my order was cancelled but that I would be charged $79.91 for the trial sample (in other words, they were planning to keep sending me this stuff and charging my credit card). The trial sample could not be cancelled because (gee, wouldn't you know it) that order was automatically generated by computer. This was all within no more than five minutes of the order being placed!
I was told that the only way to avoid being charged the $79.91 was to return the trial sample to Des Moines, and that if it was received and processed by their warehouse within 20 days I would not be charged. I mailed it back today. We'll see what happens.
