Purchased unit online. Literature supplied with unit said nothing of free updated maps. It did, however say to update firmware for free, which I did. I went under the product page, then Maps. It wanted $79.99 for maps. I believed that because the unit was just purchased, I wouldn't need them for a while, assuming they were current. I Drive commercially and used the unit in PA, and found that the road didn't exist on the GPS unit. This is when I wrote customer service. They basically said you had to buy the maps. I replied to them again, but their email address was bad and it bounced back. I have already missed this 30 day guarrantee that is posted on a different page, than the one I originally went to. I tried to explain this to them and after keeping me on hold for almost 1/2 hr, told me that their hands are tied and there is nothing that they could or would do. Had the literature stated this in the first place I would have done what was required and would not have had this problem. They could at least give me current maps with the unit. I understand having to pay for updates, but not right out of the box.
