I bouht a navman gps 11/05 with teh understanding according to their own faqs on their website that they would update their maps every 8-10 months. I travel alot and this is a nessecity. Well they have been promising new maps for teh usa for almost 2 years now, and still no new maps.
I asked for my money back or a new gps, their new models have new maps, how come they did no update their older units? It looks like they do not want to spend the money is why. Of course they have to have new maps for their new units otherwise they will not sell. Even teh maps that i got in 2005 from them, made me think they used old maps anaywa as they were very old and in accurate. I called teh compnay and the tech suppport was very rude, and i ased for a supervisor, he called me back and was also rude. I tol;d them i would be filing consumer protection complaints on theri false statements about up dateing maps and not doing so. They did not care, i said also i might file a small claims lawsuit as i am now stuck with this older gps that is not worth a thing since i have no good maps. Do not buy this brand of gps ever, buy a garmin or something that does update their maps.
