My wife and I stopped at the Applebees at Glenwood and State street for some late dinner. We were seated around 7:50 pm. The restaurant was not too busy. At 8:00 pm we finally gave our drink order to the waitress. My wife ordered a hot tea and ice water, I ordered a Miller Lite on tap. 10 minutes later my wife gets her hot tea and water and the waitress tells me my drink is on the way. We order our food - I order a rib eye, potato and shrimp, my wife orders avacado dip, chips and a bowl of potato soup. At 8:15 (25 minutes after being seated) the waitress tells me that they are having problems with the Miller Lite tap. I tell her she can serve me another beer on tap if it is available. 8:20 pm (yay! I have a beer I don't like!) 8:26 pm we get a plate of burnt avacado dip delivered to our table along with a bloody rare steak. The waitress tells us they are out of soup. I requested a medium cooked steak and it is bleeding profusely onto my plate. I get up and ask to speak to a manager. The manager and I have a few calm words about our experience and he thanks me for bringing this to his attention. He says that "Most people just get up and walk out" when this happens to them. He offered to give us dinner at no charge but we had both lost our appetite. A very very disappointing evening at Applebees!
