I enrolled my daughter in Melanie Campbell's (Future Melanie Durham) studio Orangecrest Dance Academy in Riverside CA. After months of rehearsals it was finally recital time. She informed us that we could not bring our DVD recorders into the room and we MUST purchase a DVD from her if we wanted to see our child's performance. I paid the $ and NEVER received the DVD. I've tried to contact her SEVERAL times via email and telephone and no response. She had no problem cashing my check but never gave us our DVD. After several attempts I finally started doing some research and found out this was not the first time this has happened to one of her paying customers (refer to complaint # 449622, this mother had the same exact thing happen to her family last year).
This is a terrible thing to do to a child and family. This was my 3 year olds very first dance recital and it was very sentimental to us all. We have no memories of it now and I'm heartbroken!
