I hired Jeff Hinkeldey Construction in June to replace my roof shortly after a hail storm hit our quaint lil'town. He was very boastful about his pride in his business and that he was fully qualified and able to do the job and do it right. And also stated he had a 2yr workmanship warranty to boot. But one month after they did the job we had a hard rain and it came pouring into my home thru places I never had leaks before... Such as between a storm window and an inside window. I had to empty all my attic and dormer closets, the rain was ruining old family photos ect, I had buckets, cups, bowls and pans upstairs everywhere, but then the real kicker was when I turned on my downstairs light, it blew up the light bulb, the water was leaking down the wiring. I called this guy every week, then every month, for a year and he repeatedly promised to come and take care of it 'right away.', or he would say 'the guys said they were out there last week?' Aprill 2008 he said he was coming with shingles to do the job himself. I have not heard from him since. I turned him into the better business bureau, and have fought with them for 8 months to get absolutly nowhere, he makes false promises to them also. My next step is the Attorney General. I 've called this guy several times again this year and he doesn't answer his phone anymore. He is expanding his business and still after nearly 20 months has not come down to fix my roof, I finally gathered enough money to have the light fixture replaced, after not using that light for 6 months. I am appaulled that this guy can still do business. I want my money back so I can pay someone that has time to fix my roof and fix it right. I am very tired of false promises.
