Rex Appliances Now Real Estate
Fraud, Scam, Theft, Rude Representitives

While in the past Rex Appliances had a good name in this area. Although they will tell ya they didn't go belly up but they did. They no longer have retail stores they rent out the buildings they used to occupy. Which that tells me that yeah they bellied up. And here is why, While just under 2 years ago me and my partner had exchanged our air conditioner because it wasn't working properly. Although it wasn't that simple. After arguing with the rep for about 40 mins he suddenly was able to find our purchase record. Low and behold the product was still under warranty for about another week. Once we had established that, the rep insisted they we purchase an extended warranty. While we were supposed to get another 2 yr warranty on the new product automatically, we were still hesitant. After being schmoozed we had decided to go ahead and get the extended warranty. Well here we are just under 2 years again and the product is failing to work properly. When called this afternoon about it I had gotten not one not 2 but 3 rude reps including a supervisor (Peggy). Who informed me that I have no warranty and that she had no idea what I was talking about. Also when I had questioned about my mothers a/c unit I had found out that there was no warranty on her unit even though she had paid for one. So when questioned about the store reps and them embellishing the money from people that was for extended warranty's, her response was" none of our employees have done such a thing". Then I had asked for the names of the people who had worked in this location. Funny before she had said she had access to all the records and could look up anything for me, which there itself is a lie which came out after asking for thier names. And at this point I was livid. I began telling her that this must be the reason that the stores all went belly up. Her response " WE DIDN'T GO BELLY UP, WE HAVE $80,000". Well then maybe you should take some of that $80 thousand and repair these units that your reps had scammed us on. Now I have seen alot of posts here about this company and I hope anyone who reads this will contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau) as I will be doing here shortly. Companies like this one even though they hide behind the real estate front now should be banned from being able to conduct business in the U.S. So if you are in the market for real estate or a store front to start your new business, just be leary that the owner isn't Rex's
