I sent my skycaddie in on April 26th and received an email that stated they received it on April 29th and it would be evaluated by the technicians and would take up to 7 days.
After not hearing from them I sent an email on June 9th stating they have had my skycaddie since April 29 and I have not received a status. I received an email from them on June 10th stating they tried to contact me on April 30 the day after they received the unit although they stated it may take up to 7 days to evaluate and informed me the unit could not be repaired. On June 13 I emailed them about my dissatisfaction with their service and I would like the unit returned. On June 16th they emailed me and stated they need some additional information and the issue would be easier to resolve by phone.
After returning from vacation I sent them an email on July 10th asking when I would be receiving my unit. I received no reply. On July 28 I called and was told by Matthew Deason in customer service the unit could not be returned because I failed to pay the diagnostic fee. This was the first I had heard of any charge for the unit, it was never mentioned in any of the correspondence regarding the issues with the unit. Mr. Deason stated in was part of the original repair agreement to which I said then where is the billing? He now states after 60 days they keep the unit. I asked for the unit to be returned as soon as they stated it could not be repaired, they never asked me for any fee nor could I have been aware of the fee which could have ranged from$35 to over $100. They now claim they do not have the unit and I am out of luck.
