Reps & Supervisors in Sebring site being fired without mercy

WARNING to all who are contemplating employment at the Sebring site. Director, HR & OEM's have been firing reps and supervisors left and right. Management has done away with what was once known and encouraged as: Coaching Opportunities, Warnings and Action Plans.

Employees are being called in on their days off for trivial meetings and then find themselves terminated on the spot without the slightest prior notice of why they've been terminated.

The majority of these employees are on supervisor and or OEM "hit" lists as we now call them, unbeknownst to the employee. On the contrary, these employees think they are in good standing with Cross Country.

If anyone from management gets a whim of an "unhappy" or "frustrated" employee than that's good enough reason to terminate them.

Management at the Sebring site are so "fearful" and "paranoid" an employee who is unhappy may report their concerns to Corporate, it's this reasoning that prompts the termination before the employee has a chance to report the deed. These employees, and there have been, many, are terminated without any prior notice.

... On one occasion an employee asked his supervisor to help him lower his NOC. The supervisor instead gave him a written warning for "call avoidance" eventhough the rep had been on available the whole time.

... Another rep from a PM shift went to the late shift. Because the supervisor hates the rep, for no reason at all, the rep is constantly harassed and the supervisor swore to have the rep fired, for no other reason then hating this rep.

... One night a supervisor bought pizza but only allowed the Spanish reps to put themselves in coaching so they could eat it, but not the rest of the team.

... Supervisors will give 100% on monitors to certain reps for no other reason other than they like that rep. These reps never listen to their calls, but are placed on coaching so they can get off the phones for 30,45, 60 & up to 90 minutes. Etc, etc, etc.

Management at the Sebring site notify Corporate of the terminations but at their "discretion". Corporate is under the "impression" these employees have been appropriately warned of their conduct or lack off, Corporate does not know that no Coaching Opportunities, Warnings or Action Plans were ever given.

Because there have been so many, many terminations of long & short tenured employees rumors have been growing that Cross Country Automotive Services in Sebring is getting set to go under and out of business due primarily to the recent bankruptcies of GM & Chrysler and the 2008 $30 million acquisition of ATX GRP.

If the other Cross Country Contact Centers are getting more and more back to back calls, now you know why... The Sebring site employee count is dwindling down rapidly. And because Sebring's community/employee pool is aware of what's going on, less and less people are signing up for jobs with Cross Country. It's bad, really bad!

It's also rumored that Corporate, meaning Charlie Cavolina, is himself telling the director and OEM's to behave in this manner. I, we can't say for sure. But employees are indeed getting fired almost on a daily basis.

Also, I don't know about the other contact centers, but in Sebring the "incentive money" for the teams are being kept and spent by many supervisors and not on the teams themselves. Supervisors are given the checks. They cash them and buy Walmart, Gas, Mcdonalds and Dunkin Donuts gift cards. The receipts are turned in as proof of purchase but the cards are kept by these supervisors to spend on themselves as they desire. Not HR nor OEM's ask these supervisors to show proof of who received these cards. Nor does HR or the OEM's contact the team reps to ask if they won anything that month. Which is why supervisors are able to get away with this practice time, and time again; year, after year. Does this happen to you too?

So be warned if you contemplate working at the Sebring site.
