So I'm definatly not one to take s*t on a previous employer or anything but this place screwed me over big time. At first i thought it would be a great investment of time regaurdless of all the time I was wasting. I quit school for a semester for them I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years for them and became very distant from my family who encouraged me when the job got tough.
I worked there for almost 5 months and it was such a drag on my life. Working 6 sometimes 7 days a week from 7am till sometimes 9 or 10pm because I made it to phase 2 was so hard for everyone around me. I regret working there because i missed so much of my life. I missed my nephews first steps, my sisters junior prom, my birthday, my brothers engagement party, my dad's birthday four cousins' birthdays and worst of all i missed my own engagement! I broke up with my boyfriend because i felt he was being clingy when really he was ready to ask me to marry him.
What's even worst than that is the fact that at a time when life was hard for my family, dealing with the loss of my grandmother all they said was sorry for your loss take a few days off and we'll go from there. They harrassed me till i answered my phone sitting in the room where my grandmother lay dead. Their excuse was "we wanted to make sure everything was okay", when really they just wanted the merch i didn't return that night or the following morning.
I don't know who was worse, the mean face you see when you walk in the office (the admin who looked like she was ready to bite your head off because the pen you have in your hand looks just like hers), the extremely mean asistant manager (jackie) who thought she was funny but really everyone was too scared of her to not laugh, all the fake phase 2 people who really are just like us they hate their jobs and fear not reaching "goals" and facing the worst not really there for you check out my engagement ring where's my dog henry oh my god mike putnam called me today who wants to go to dallas everyone lets go have a team night out my parents divorced i love andy my dad is an aurthor my brother is a retard, boss JULIA DAVIS.
Going into your first day your taught to worship her, gravel at her feet, kiss her ass and most importantly laugh at her stupid jokes.
I realized it was all scam when i became a team lead and was forced to tell those below me that when i had that event i blew out of my order at 4pm. And lie to them by saying things like oh my god you're doing good lets have a "comp" and letting them win even though you already beat them twice.
The people that work there were great they had degrees and were the chillest people i've ever meet. I regret not staying in touch with some of them and often wonder what they've been up too.
Don't work for Julia Davis it's not worth it at all. I was lied to about all the money i'd get back in taxes because i used my own vehicle to drive to events and i even made my family by some of that shit when they came to bring me dinner at my events.
All i wanted to do was put Julia down as a previous employer and was looking for an address and phone number, came across this and it hit me that i was living a horrible life when i worked for her.
Now I'm a reporter and photographer for Wisconsin Combat Sports and love every day i work here!
