What was supposed to be a fun experience turned into a nightmare. I live an hour away from this dealership and I saw a car that I liked online. I called them and told them what my intentions were with my current car.
I had a car with 4 months left on the lease and my in-laws wanted to buy it. I told them of my plans and they said they would sell it to them for the exact payoff.
They advised me that it would not be and issue and the sales rep that I spoke to even spoke to his finance manger and made sure it was something they can do. I did not want to drive and hour out of my way to only realize that this could not be accomplished.
I purchased a Navigator from them that day and my in-laws purchased the car I had just traded in to Carvision.com. Come to realize that 60 days later, carvision.com NEVER paid off my lease. I was attempting to obtain financing and my friend that was arranging the loan for me told me that I had a late on my credit.
I work in financing and I know how important credit it and I try to keep my credit as clean as possible. Carvision.com never called me and told me that they didnt pay it off or that they were having a hard time paying it off. I would have simply continued to make my lease payment to ensure that my credit would not be affected.
My credit when I got the car at carvision.com was a 747 and due to their neglegance and laziness it was dropped to a 628 because they allowed my lease to go late. When I called their controller and accounts payable department, the attitude they gave me was unbeleivable. You would have thought I owed them money. I was furious, they were extremly rude and helpful.
I would never reccomend anyone to buy a car from these poeple. They are irresponsible and unaccountable for their neglegent actions. If there is any legal recourse I have, I would appreciate it if someone would let me know because they shoudl not be able to do what they did and have no responsibilty for their actions.
Their sheer laziness has caused my credit to go down and its not right. They need to be held accountable for their actions and learn to be more helpfull when they mess up someones credit.
