Stylist WACKED off my Hair!

On June 24,08 I went into a new Hair Cuttery location for a basic professional business hair cut. I was assured that they they could cut my hair and after a short wait sat in the chair. Since I am a full-figured woman keeping my hair full and not too short is paramount.

After the stylist spent quite a bit of time working on the back of my hair I asked for a mirror so that I could see the back of my hair. She replied " you don't want to see it yet because you may not like the way it looks." I wish I could have that moment back because now I would jump from the chair and demand that mirror! I nervously sat there for her to finish and when I did get the mirror my heart hit the floor! My hair was gone! It actually looked as if someone had taken a weedwacker an went straight up the back 2/3rds of my hair! To keep from crying and to keep from yelling profanities I keep mubbling "It's only hair, it'll grow back."

No manager came to see if she could do something for me. My name and number was not taken to follow up on the grave inservice I was dealt. I was just allowed to leave quitely and depressed.

A month later, when I was able to think clearly, I began attempting to contact the salon's regional/district manager to seek resolution. I need to wear wigs until my hair grows back in to feel comfortable with my appearance again. I called the Oak Leaf Salon and recieved the " run around." I was was told the manager was not there and they did not know the number for their regional/district manager, yeah right. I called a Normandy salon to ask for the contact number. I was told that they would have a supervisor call me within 48hrs, it didn't happen. This was 7/21/08.

A week later a filed a complaint through Hair Cuttery.com. To this day no response.in the interim I've tried to contact someone at (713) 269-5333 and (703) 269-5400 and left messages. To this day NO RESPONSES. You go to the customer survey link on Haircuttery.com to leave a survey, they are not allowing any surveys to go through!

I will never go back to a Hair Cuttery again after they fix my hair or find someone to fix it (which is perferred.) They obviously receive a large amount of complaints for incompetent hair care/styling, poor customer service and no responses to customer's complaints. This would explain why it is so hard to get through to a person and why messages from automated voice message services are not returned. THEY DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS.

It's clear from other complaints I've come across online that Hair Cuttery needs to go out of business. Be Warned, Stay Away! I have after photos of my head for documentation purposes but I'm too embarassed to post them. Please heed my warning.
