First, my co-worker gets a call from this company stating that I (the manager) had ordered some toner and it was on back order. Since, it has taken so long they offer to send the toner for free. My co-worker repeated several times with them, that the toner was free. The guy even lied telling her they were suppose to be doing some maintenance on our canon equipment soon as well (we only carry one little small canon printer, but my co-worker being new, didn't know).
In any case, they lied so and used my name to get her to believe everything they were saying. Please visit the Better Business Bureau, these guys have so many complaints filed against them.
When the package arrived, the packing slip was all blacked out which made my co-worker nervous. What company doesn't list the balance (even it is free) on the packing slip? I return to work the next day after its arrival and she tells me about her concern. Low and behold, there's an invoice sitting in my office for $978.82 for this ONE toner cartridge.
A toner cartridge for a Canon D320 (look it up) is only $50.00.instead, they marked it up to $898.00 with a $80.82 freight charge (on a less than 2 lb package?)... And $0.00 NO SALES TAX?
Nothing makes sense.
When I called them, only one guy would talk to me. This guy (the "customer service" manager who also happens to answer phones by saying "corporate offices" not even a company name?) was saying that my co-worker spoke with Tom Jones and Chuck Martin and confirmed the order with them, but I cannot get these guys on the line for the past two days?
I told him that 1) no one here ordered this toner and that 2) it is insanely and ridiculously priced so we'd be returning it.
He then said, "if there is one dent or damage to the box we cannot accept it back." WOW.
In any case, I took it to FedEx took pictures of the pristine unopened box and got witnesses at the local FedEx office too. Knowing these guys they'll try to make up some more lies.
Just be careful everyone. What a huge scam.
Luckily they didn't get a check from us, but I did spend $15.00 on shipping which I'm hoping the BBB will get back! Terrible people.
