Terrible experience - the new ribs

I went to Burger King the other day, to try the "NEW RIBS". The drive up window was backed up at least 20 cars, the parking lot full, and a huge tracker trailer truck parked in front of the entrance. I parked, and went in. The newly renovated place was complicated to negotiate as they had you walking around a huge stainless steel circular railing just to get to the counter. There were only 3 servers up front, including the one from the drive up window, the line waiting to order was only slightly shorter than the one waiting to get into the line to wait in line to order. The people trying to exit after filling their drinks had to squeeze by the people backed up waiting in line, and staying at all was up for debate. I got to the ordering station, and the girl taking orders walked away from the cash register, and proceeded to "help" the person putting up orders at the hot plate; leaving everyone standing waiting to order and then wait. She finally came back I ordered four 3 pc ribs only units and waited. I waited, and waited some more as these are only cooked once the orders for them are placed. The cost was 10.61 cents including tax, but the ribs pictured in the lighted signs looked delicious, and certainly worth the money. I got them home and discovered that they were about 2 inches long at the most, and it was hard to tell if they were beef, or just pork being flavored to taste like beef. I felt that the value for dollar was poor, they did not taste that spectacular, and it was very disappointing. I called the store the next day, to tell them what I thought, and how I was disappointed, I wanted a couple of coupons for free whoppers or something because I felt the ribs deal was unacceptable. After I explained, and was told, yes the ribs are about the size of your thumb, I asked why the ones pictured looked at least 4 inches long? I wanted to know if they were sold by weight, or by the piece, and why they didn't know right away if it was beef or pork? She told me she had not tried them, that they were sold by the piece, not by weight, and that if I had a complaint that I had to go onto Burger King's web site and take it up with corporate there. I went on line, BUT my MSN media center II is not a computer, and the BK site required additional soft ware down loaded to navigate it. I don't have the ability to install extra stuff to watch speedy video, complicated sites, so I was unable to contact them. I called the store back to get a number to call BK, and was informed that they Manager did NOT have a direct number for Customer Service, she gave me an 800 number she had and the extention. I called, got a recording saying that the extention was not recognized. I called the 800 information operator to see if they had a number and was informed that Burger King does NOT have an 800 number listed in their 800 number directory. I called another store, told them what I was looking for, and was informed that THEY REALLY DO NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF NUMBER LIKE THAT... (It seems that customer service of BK likes to remain incommunicado) but if I still had my receipt I could call the number on the back of it, and leave my information there. I did not have the receipt, he found one, gave me the number and I thanked him. The number was an invitation to participate in a survey, automated, anonymous, and futile because I did not have the store number required to get into the survey. I dug through my trash, found the ticket, called, told them what I thought about the wait, the store set up, the value for dollar and the disappointing ribs all by giving each item a rating of 1 for poor up to 5 for excellent. At the end of the survey I was given a validation code, for a free chicken sandwich when I made a purchase of any size drink and french fries. Then I was informed that the receipt had to be presented at the time of purchase, there was only one ticket per household allowed, and there was only one free sandwich, or current deal allowed per month. I still was not able to have any satisfaction about the inconsistency in the ribs sales, and I am still upset about the inability to contact corporate Burger King to let my dismay be known. I realize that they are not unavailable, that it is my state of on line challenge that makes it impossible to access them, BUT I am sure I am not the only web tv user who has decided that they are not happy with the Burger King site requirements.

I would like it to be known that Burger King should be just as fast with their service as the one next door to it which will remain McAnonymous, that the layout of the new lobby is uncomfortable and it is stupid that they only had one employee on the register at the peak of lunch rush. I also would like to know how to contact Burger King so I can let them know I would like coupons for 2 free whoppers since I felt ripped off by the rib cost.

Thank you very much
Rosemary LeBlanc
