In October I took in Paul Russell, a heroin addict at the time, and his girlfriend, trying to help them out. Paul decided, one night, to steal my car (along with the girlfriend), got high, and then crashed it. Paul Russell admitted crashing it into 3-4 curbs while high. He is then on video tape driving the car into my condo's parking gate, pushing the gate open 1-2 feet with the car, and crawling into the building with the gate wedged open by the car.
Paul Russell has never paid me a penny to restitution for the damages he caused to my car. As a matter of fact, he claims that he never crashed the car now (even though he is on video tape and told other witnesses he did). Further, his lawyer had the nerve to call me and claim I was trying to extort money from him. I'm a millionaire. I don't need Mr Russell's money!
Paul Russell has since moved from Houston to Austin, and now works at Stubbs Barbeque and spends plenty of money attending the Texas Culinary Institute. Yet, despite this, he still has not paid me a penny, apologized, and continues to prance around like he didn't do anything. I'll be sure to stop in and say hi to Mr. Russell in two weeks, when at Stubbs, and ask him to hold the heroin on my pulled pork sandwhich!
