Thought I would mop my kitchen floor, but instead, I used my fire extinguisher to put out the sparks & flames. I've owned two of these HM2O mops less than a year with no problems until today 6-14-09. The reason that I had purchased two of these units is because I clean homes for a living. One for my home and the other for my business. I'm so happy that none of this episode happened on my jobs. All I know is I was using my mop as normal, & all of a sudden the fire & sparks came shooting out from underneath of my mop! Scarred me to death as I grabbed for my extiguisher to put out the fire! I called this phone number (800) 752-0775 and told the operator as to what happened to me. She didn't even ask me if I was alright, any damage, or anything! She just said for me to call customer service Mon-thru Friday! So, I hope by calling this number tomorrow (719) 948-1580 I hope to get a little better of some help or professionalism at least. I'm afraid to use the other one I purchased now, plus my husband said no way! Just get your money back on both of the units and send them back to the company. I paid over $200.00 on the two, plus four (4) packages of the cloth mop heads. Like I said, it's almost like Smokey the Bear episode. I had both fire & water but couldn't use the water to put out the fire!
