Being a single mom with not much money I do not spend money on myself. While getting on the Internet I saw the ad where this mother gets to the heart of all us single moms telling us we don't have to pay the outrageous prices they want to whiten our teeth, just use the links to purchase a free trial size of each product, charging you $1.99 for one whitener for shipping and $4.99 for the second whitener for shipping as both products worked together as to her story.
I used my credit card and ordered both being excited that I was getting to whiten my teeth and make me feel better about myself. I received a follow up phone call from the company confirming they received my order and I could also receive additional offers to which I stated to them that I only wanted the trial and if it worked I would contact them to order more and I was not wanting any of their additional offers so do not sign me up for them or charge me for them as I am not interested in receiving them.
I received the whiteningbrites within a few days of the order and the correct charge came out of my account for this purchase of $4.99 for shipping ON 05/22/09, but I never did receive or get charged for the second whitener which was supposed to work with the first whitener.
On 06/05/09 I find a charge for $9.99 authorized to make payment to AXISWELLNESSPORTAL 888-2790604 CA which I have no idea what this is and another charge on the same day from my account for $88.97 authorized to make payment to WHITENINGBRITES 888.2462140. I immediately tried to call them to see what these charges were but no one would answer. I then contacted my credit card customer service to dispute these charges and they are supposed to work with me on this mess, but in the meantime my credit card has been canceled and I have to wait to receive a new card before I can use my account again. As long as these companies have your credit card information they can keep charging you without your authorization!!! Beware!
I did finally get the company to answer the phone and they stated they would cancel my membership and I informed them that when I received the follow up phone call from them I stated I wanted none of their additional offers or to receive their product monthly and only wanted the trial size and would order more if it worked so I should have been canceled then and there on any offers to purchase other products from them. Their customer service person gave me two email addresses to email and explain this to, which I did with every bit of information they would need to give my money back and one email came back as undeliverable and the other stated they could not find where I had made a purchase from them!
I am so upset that they have done this that I will be reporting them everywhere I can. To some folks it may not seem like much money to be out, but in my world it was a disaster which will take me a month or more to recover from.
Please, no one get taken in on this.in checking the Internet today, I do see that their huge ad which ran across the top of the page is gone. This tells me that they have been discovered as fraudulent by so many more than the ones of us on here.
