I went to a website that had an advertisment of a new diet supplementary pill called ACAI X3. After reading it I ordered a "free trial" 30 day supply for 2.79 for shipping and handling fees on April 30th. On the website at the bottom in small fine print it stated that I had 10 days to cancel my order or that I would be charged 88.55 every month.
Well after about a week later on May 8th, I decided since I hadn't received my shipment I didn't want the product anymore, so I called customer service at 866-882-1281 that appeared on my bankstatement for the ACAI charge, because there was no invoice or ph# for me to call that came with the product. I called the ph# and the company was called Homestay Homecare and they had no idea of what I had ordered, couldn't find my account, was very rude and didn't want to assist me.
I tried going online to see if I could find another ph# to cancel and started reading hundred of complaints about this scam and how people were getting ripped off ordering this product online. At that point, I really wanted to cancel this product. They only had an address on the top of the envelope it came in which was Real Technology Labs at 970 W Broadway STE 83, Jackson, Wyoming. I was able to locate another ph# that was provided online which was 866-951-1393 and I called and canceled my order and was given a cancelation #. 0610092758704.
On May 14, I finally received my 30 day free shipment in the mail, only problem the shipment was for a 60 day day trial not 30 day. Later the evening I went to my online banking and saw on May 11 they debited $88.55 out of my account and the ph# that appeared with that charge was 866-596-0120. I called that ph# to dispute the charges and told them that I had canceled my order on May 7th and wanted to know why in the hell they took 88.55 out of my account!!! They refused to reimburse my money and said that since it had already been shipped that they couldn't refund my money even though I canceled my order within the 10 day window.
Well here I was stuck with a 60 day supply of ACAI pills that I canceled. Well at that point, I just didn't feel like fighthing these people and I just had to kick myself for falling for one of these "FREE TRIAL" scams and just cough it up as a loss.
This morning after checking my mail, I noticed that another bottle of ACAI pills was mailed to me that I didn't order. When I got to work and checked my bank account I noticed ANOTHER 88.55 charge on my account AGAIN! This time another ph# was given an another name called McDIET Nutrition and the ph# provided was 866-951-1393 which was the same number I called to cancel the first time. I called them back and politely screamed at them for sending me another freakin bottle of this stuff that I didn't order. They would not help me, didn't care and told me that there was nothing they could do.
At this point, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB about this company and cancel my bank account and checking account and filed a fraud charge, because this is ridiculous.
I have read hundreds of complaints about this company and how people are being charged for this product even before they receive it in the mail, I have read complaints about how people have canceled their orders and still continue getting charges and shipments in the mail. This is an outrage and something NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!
