I have had my email address for more then 5 years and I have been carful of to whom I give it to in order to avoid spam. Until now I have never had a problem with spam, then I tried Driver Detective!
In an act of desperation I did an online search for an updated driver. No mater where I ended up they all requested I download Driver Detective so I figured it was safe and it clamed to be free.
So like a fool I downloaded Driver Detective and ran it. It did a scan on my PC and told me of all the drivers that were bad or outdated and the few I had that were ok. So of course I continued on to Fix the drivers.
The next screen required me to pay a substantial price to get the service. Wait, I thought said it was free? Well the test is free but the update will cost you! I chose not to continue and simply reloaded the software, which I should have done in the first place, and reloaded the data I wanted to save.
Well within hours I was swamped with spam email. I now get about 10 to 20 spam email every day. Talk about feeling taken, I always thought I was smarter then that. If you DONT want SPAM email the STAY AWAY from DRIVER DETECTIVE no mater what legitimate website claims its ok!!!
