Of course, this seriously, authentic looking document will, if I send in $20 to "PRIA", my prize that is confirmed will be sent to me immediately. Reference is: 7085027481 which looks an awful lot like a close by local phone number; e.G. 708 is area code for South suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
In any case, I am all of a sudden getting numerous types of these documents.
They are coming from Prize Research Intelligency Agency, Aggregate Merchants, and another today from Royal Crown Compendium.
It is bothersome that U.S. Mail is used to scam people into paying a fee in the hopes they have truly won a prize. The only place I have ever entered for a sweepstakes is Publishers Clearing House; and, no, I have not received news from PCH ever as being a winner. These other above mentioned companies word their documents in a manner in which they lead you to believe that reputable sweepstakes don't really send you your winnings without the likes of their companies. Therefore, just pay their processing fee and your confirmed cash is on the way.
I don't want my identity, address or anything else about me used in this manner and sent to me via the United States Postal Service. When it is mailed this way, you tend to be hopeful that it must be on the up and up.
Please have an agency investigate these companies.
