I had an Elana Cockatoo that I wanted to sell and actually hooked up with this lying, cheating thief at a bird show. She was oh so interested. Fed me the line about losing her job, recently widowed, obviously the same line she has used on numerous people. She came to visit and wanted the bird so bad. She seemed honest at the time. Now I know what a con she is. She took the bird, and everything I was selling with it, signed a payment agreement and I never heard from her again.
I made numerous attempts to contact her via email and phone. Short of going to her home and knocking on her door I didn't think I had much recourse. She is a rip off artist that should be stopped. My experience with her was over a year ago and until recently, in talking to some other bird people did her name come up. Went on the internet just to see if I could find out anything about her and WOW, obviously I'm not the only person she ripped off royally. It doesn't make me feel any better that I was not the only person she has stolen from. Boy was I naive, never again will I trust someone without checking them out throughly. Wish I had done that before I "sold" her the bird and lost about $1300.00. I hope she gets caught and prosecuted for what she is doing.
