This company is a total ripoff to work for. Firstly you are employed as an independent contractor with a 50 % commission pay so automatically they are making what you make. What they don't tell you is that you have to pay for your phone service with a push to talk only phone so that they can keep in contact with you at all times during your deliveries. As a courier you are only paid for the distance you travel from the pick up point to the actual delivery destination. Sometimes the pick up destination was over 60 miles away in which you are responsible for the gas it takes to get there. At the end of the day you could be over 150 miles away from home and you are responsible for the gas it took to get home. This was when the gas was at $5.00 / gallon. After a few months this added up to a 110 % loss of any money you were getting for a check.
I looked up the cost of a two way push to talk service for one month rental which included unlimited text and push to talk. It was going for a rate at $10-15 dollars a month for one phone not to mention a discount if you are renting more than a few at a time. They were charging us $50 a month for the use of there company phone which came out of our check at the end of every month. I was basically working for free with no hourly rate, and i was responsible for maintaining my vehicle on a monthly basis which ended being a 110 % total loss in income.
This company totally rips off hundreds of people a year and makes tons of money off of there couriers.
