Why I have bad situations against my own Filipino people

3 days ago I had an urge to buy a karaoke. Me and my boyfriend went out for dinner. I told him about the karaoke. So I told him that I know a Filipino store (BTW I am filipina, legal immigrant, I came here almost 4 years ago. My first job was in facility where I took care of elderly/disabled people. Because I am fresh from the boat, the Filipino owners took advantage by having me do ALL the household chores aside from taking care of elderly, sunrise till sunset, PLUS as a sales attendant in a stand selling churos in a mall.

How much they paid me? $1,500/month. So after 2 weeks, I quit! And what worst I paid my own fingerprinting, so I got $220 only! The stories that I heard from my family and other people who are living here in US, they are right! They said be aware of some Filipinos. You will know their real character here in US. That was the time I decided to study again and get a degree. I am working already for a year in medical clinic acquiring 2 different licenses.

Now, I am student again for higher education.) Anyway, We went to Eagle Rock Mall and bought a Magic Sing Karaoke, ET18K, top of the line, with 1 chip worth $502.45 in Fil Mart Store. I never tried the Karaoke I bought because we were out for family meeting. That was the time I saw my relatives having the same Magic Sing Karaoke. I was dissapointed with the product. The resolution of the videos are still poor.

The michropone still have no control of the echo and the music especially the volume, decrease or increase, faster or slower and which one? It was the same 1990's karaoke feeling I had. It was frustrating. I thought it was perfected through the years. I thought also buying top of the line karaoke is the real thing, the same when you are choosing your HDTV.

Anyway, After 3 days, I went back to Fil Mart store to return that I never OPEN, meaning, totally the same as when I bought from them. The old Filipina lady was there, And I said to return the item. The old lady touch the box only and said that there is No Return, No Exchange policy. And then she showed me the sign on the side of cashier machine. What? I do not believe it. I did not see that sign.

At the same time, I know the sale was final if it was hugely discounted, or there were no more the same product that available. This is different situation, the item was brand new I wanted to return, and it was a mistake buying because I wanted better resolution and audio. The securities went there and they were telling me that its their store policy. I left the Karaoke I bought at the top of counter, in front of the old filipina lady.

Before I left and waiting for the securities, the old lady told me that even I dispute my credit card they would still continue to rebill me and they will get their money. She never tried to give exemption or consideration because I am filipina also. Why I always encountered unreasonable filipinos? Is there a law in California about NO Return No Exchange Policy? What about 3-day rule contract?
