This company exists specifically to encrypt contact info on www.whois.com. It makes it so that people who use WhoIs to try to find out more about the background of a website can't find the information.
In and of itself this is a matter of privacy, but website's with fraudulent agendas use it to shield themselves from irate customers, or victims as the case may be.By mission WhoisGuard becomes arguably complicit, and perhaps even a conspirator after the fact with the fraudulent sites that benefit from its services.
There is a specific example of this in my complaint of ebaysuccesssystems.com
WhoisGuard.com also shields itself from contact. Its own contact information links them back to their domain name provide, namecheap.com, so some deeper association between the two may be indicated.
