In the internet age, I didn't think any car dealer could be slimy enough — or dumb enough — to think the bait-and-switch would work. Evidently at Joseph they are both slimy and dumb.
I was in the market for a used Cadillac CTS. Joseph offered me some choices, and I settled on one with specific features, color and mileage. No problem, it was being shipped from another dealer. Fine. A few days go by. The salesman (we'll call him "Dopey") says it will be in "tomorrow." Tomorrow comes and goes. Dopey doesn't return calls. Then I get an email from the Big Lot manager on behalf of Dopey with pictures of the car. Odd. Different features. I check with Dopey... No, that's the car, here's the VIN etc etc. I crosscheck the VIN with our first conversation and I see he's switched out the car I wanted with another car. Dopey was all set to sell me an older car with more miles and insisted this is what I had agreed to. I guess he must have figured I was stupid enough not to keep careful notes on our conversations.
I dumped Joseph immediately, bought the exact car I wanted at a better price from another dealer.
My advice: skip this dealer. There are too many other choices to have to settle for slimeballs like this.
