Here below is something that happened to me and my friend and I wish it won't happen to you too so read carefully!!!
Me and my friends went on vacation to Laughlin, AZ for the weekend to have some fun. We were looking to rent 2 jet ski's for a full day and some how after a lot of phone calls we reached a company named "Water Dogs Watercraft Rental, LLC". The name of the owner as he presented himself is Joe. After some investigating we found out that his name is Jose Guerrero.
Anyways we rented 2 jet ski's and paid $150 each in cash. We gave him our credit cards so he can hold a $500 deposit each. He told my friend that he needs to hold on one of our credit cards until we return the jet ski's in the same condition we got them. I thought that this is wierd but whatever we just wanted to have fun already. Later that day we returned the jet ski's in the same condition we got them. Joe inspected the jet ski's and said that everything is FINE with them. We sat down to run the $500 back to our cards. He ran my card first and gave me a receipt that shows $500 returned but on the bottom it says off line. I do not know what that meens but I will find out soon if the money is going to be credited back. Then he ran my friends card and instead of refunding $500 back he charged an extra $500 claiming he had made a big mistake. Then he credited back $1000 to his card and again it said off line.
We have agreed with him that we would rent the ski's for tomorrow for a good deal on the price. He said no problem just leave me one of your credit cards and $100 cash deposit so he can hold them for us. We refused and said that we will call him tomorrow. The next day we called him several times and there was no answer. Leaving us no choice we went to rent jet ski's from a different place. The same process all over again and of course a requirement for a deposit. My friend ran his card and it was declined. We then called the credit card company to ask why it declined and then we found out that Joe from "Water Dogs Watercraft Rental, LLC" charged my friend $8,000 on his card!!!
We were shocked. Some people at the new ski rental place told us that it is old news for them and he does it all the time!!! We called the local police station in Bullhead city, AZ and filed a report against this crook. The police officer told us that he did it to 5 more people and that they are investigating his case at the present moment.
Later that day we tried contacting Joe several times until a lady answered his phone saying that we damaged the jet ski's and we are going to pay $8,000 and that they would even charge us more!!! Again - We returned the jet ski's in perfect condition. Maybe a little wet but hey that is what jet ski's are for. I still wonder one thing - Lets assume that we did damage the jet ski's, Then why did Joe refund us our deposit back with a receipt to prove it. Stupid crook. If he would've just stopped to think for a moment. Stupid.
We called him several times until he answered the phone laughing at us saying that he has our money and that he knows where we live and find us. If I have one wish I would wish to see him again. We searched all day for him. Beware of this guy. He drives a yellow H2 Hummer. The big ones.
The next day we opened another complaint against him for threatening us at the police department. They were very nice and said that this guy is going down. DOWN.
Another thing I forgot to mention is that when we spoke on the phone we asked to see the "damaged jet ski's". Can anyone guess Joe's answer. He refused without giving a reason.
Me and my friend disputed the charges and canceled our cards. This crook won't see a penny from us but I did promise him that we would be more than happy to visit him in jail from time to time.
Our nice vacation ended up as a nightmare. Hours on the phone with banks, Credit card companies, Police and Joe or should I write JOSE GEURRERO WHO DRIVES A YELLOW H2 HUMMER AND STEALS MONEY FOR A LIVING. LOSER.
Beware of "Water Dogs Watercraft Rental, LLC" And JOSE GUERRERO with a yellow H2 HUMMER.
